New York : The Managing Committee of Singh Sabha of New York Inc. organized Khalsa Contest 2000,  in January 2001 for which articles in English and Punjabi were invited from all over the world on the topic “Raj Karega Ga Khalsa…Why, When Where and How?”. Out of the 18 entries received from Australia, Canada, England., India, Singapore and United States, only 15 were found qualified as per the rules of the Contest.

A panel of three judges Dr. Gurcharan Singh, Dr. Inderjit Singh and Mr. Baljit Singh Rana evaluated and graded the entries. The judges were not aware of the identity of the entry writers because the entries were forwarded to them with the secret code numbers only without any mention about the name or place of the writer. As per the average grading of each of the entry, the following are declared as winners in the Contest:

 

First Prize Winner of US$500.00
